I am Lovable

One of the hardest things for me to do was to put old programming behind me.  Growing up my parents and siblings were unable to show love or unconditional acceptance.  They were blocked themselves and passed it on to me.  One day, a few years back I went to the Patriarch of our church and asked for a blessing.  Usually we get them as young adults or teens.  For some reason I never considered getting one.  However, later in life I needed to know what next.  What did I have to look forward to.  What was I supposed to be doing with the rest of my life?

After the blessing we were putting on our coats and getting ready to leave.  The patriarch came up to me nose to nose.  He said that he had a message for me.  It had nothing to do with my blessing.  He was prompted to give me a very special message.  What he said next struck me dumb.  He said, “You know you are loved, don’t you?”  I could not find the words to reply.  I finally whispered, “Yes.”  Again he looked into my eyes and said, “You are loved!”  This time with more force.  “I want you to know that you are truly loved.!”

I came away from that meeting not knowing quite what to think.  The issue of feeling loved…rather of knowing that I was loved had always been a big issue for me.  I had never quite felt truly loved.  In fact, I often felt quite alone in the world.  I was programed as a child to be responsible for everyone’s problems.  I was not good enough.  I was not smart enough.  I was not quite what others wanted me to be no matter how hard I tried.  This left me with big gaping holes in my psyche.  It effected every part of my life.

Well, after that meeting and those words, I have never quite been the same.  In fact, those words have gotten me through quite a lot of emotional pain since.  All I have to do is remember…”You are truly loved!”   I recently discovered a Healing the Mind & Spirit cards created by Dr. Brian Weiss.  He states,  “If, earlier in your life, others could not express their love to you, it was because they were blocked, not because of some defect in you.”

You were born with everything you were meant to be.  You are Truly Loved!  Your Higher Power created you just the way he wanted you to be in order to complete your purpose for being here.  You have everything you need to find your true purpose and to be successful at it.  It is not your fault that others can’t appreciate your special talents and gifts.  Those who do not support you on your journey need to be sent away.  Surround yourself with people who are like minded and who really want you to be your true self.

If you remember nothing else, remember this!  “You are truly Loved” That is all that matters!
